徒然ぶろぐ

研究室の Deiban etch サーバで OpenLDAP 2.3.30 + Samba 3.0.24 をやっていた。そこでファイルを作ろうとしてもエラーが出てきて、止まってしまった。

別のプロセスがファイルの一部をロックしたため、プロセスはファイルにアクセスできません。

とりあえずこれと Samba をキーワードにしてググっても、ブログの木村研 » Sambaサーバの使い方という、まったく同じ症状で困っているところしか引っかからなかった。

諦めて先のエラーメッセージだけをキーワードにしてググったところ、OL2000:別のプロセスによってロックされた .PSTファイル を新しくエクスポートしました。という機械翻訳のページが引っかかったので、英語版のページからこのメッセージの英訳が「The process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file.」であることを入手。これと Samba をキーワードにしてググったところ、見事[Samba] process cannot access file.....on home shares, 3.0.24 on Debian.という解決法が引っかかった。

これだけで動いた！　因みに man smb.conf の引用部分。

       kernel oplocks (G)
          For  UNIXes  that  support kernel based oplocks (currently only IRIX
          and the Linux 2.4 kernel), this parameter allows the use of them  to
          be turned on or off.

          Kernel  oplocks support allows Samba oplocks to be broken whenever a
          local UNIX process or NFS operation accesses a file that smbd(8) has
          oplocked.  This  allows  complete data consistency between SMB/CIFS,
          NFS and local file access (and is a very cool feature :-).

          This parameter defaults to on, but is translated to a no-op on  sys‐
          tems that no not have the necessary kernel support. You should never
          need to touch this parameter.

          Default: kernel oplocks = yes

訳そうかと思ったけど、明日は早いので止めておく。因みに OpenLDAP は悪さをしていなかった :-p
